1. SimplyBuilt's Privacy Policy

    We made our Privacy Policy readable because we want you to read it.

    Our Data Collection:
    Like most businesses, SimplyBuilt collects information on behalf of, and about our customers. We want to help our clients understand what data we collect, how we use the data we collect, who we share this data with, and how we secure and protect this data. The purpose of this document is to share these details with our customers. We've tried really hard to keep this document simple and readable, so if you have any suggestions concerning how we can improve it, please let us know.

    Whenever we refer to "SimplyBuilt" in this document, we are referring to the website builder, domain registration services, forums/chat rooms, and email services, if any, provided by SimplyBuilt LLC via the website www.simplybuilt.com.

    Account Information:
    When you purchase services from SimplyBuilt, we create an account for you. This makes it easier for both of us to track and manage our relationship. For the purpose of creating your account, we collect what we call "account data" and "registration contact data".

    Account data includes:

    • The name of the account holder;
    • The mailing address of the account holder;
    • A primary and secondary email address associated with the account holder and any other individual that the account holder wishes to designate; and a credit card number, expiration date and verification code.

    Registration contact data includes:

    • The name of the owner and administrative contact(s);
    • The address of the owner and administrative contact(s);
    • The phone number of the owner and administrative contact(s); and
    • The email address for the owner and administrative contact(s).

    Our use of your Account Data:
    SimplyBuilt only uses account data for the purpose of facilitating the management of your account and billing for your purchases. We may share this information programmatically with a third-party service for the purpose of sending you notifications, updates about our services, and for the purpose of billing your credit card. SimplyBuilt also securely stores your credit card data for billing purposes, and securely retains your credit card number, expiration date and verification code, the type of credit card and the name associated with the credit card for internal tracking, auditing, billing and charging purposes.

    SimplyBuilt may share your name, email address and demographic information with certain third parties (including, for example, Braintree Payment Solutions, LLC, The Rocket Science Group, LLC d/b/a MailChimp and SendGrid, Inc.) for the purpose of sending you various notifications related to your account. You may choose which notifications you receive under the Settings link in your SimplyBuilt account management tools. No third parties will ever obtain your credit card data, and no third parties may use your data for their own purposes without our explicit consent or notice to us.

    SimplyBuilt may share your account data with law enforcement agencies on a case-by-case basis. We may or may not notify you if this happens, depending on the circumstances. SimplyBuilt may also be required to share your account data with a third party under order from a court related to a lawsuit or investigation. Again, we evaluate these requests on a case-by-case basis and we may or may not notify you if this happens.

    We may use your account data to contact you concerning a dispute related to your account, or for verification purposes to make sure no one else is accessing your account.

    SimplyBuilt does not share your account data with any other parties for any other reasons.

    Our use of your Registration Contact Data:
    SimplyBuilt is not a domain registrar; however, SimplyBuilt may be required to use your registration contact data regarding the registration, management and transfer of any domain names you may register with SimplyBuilt. SimplyBuilt may also share your registration data with the registry that manages the domain you are registering in (for example, Verisign, Inc.). SimplyBuilt may also be required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to disclose your registration data to ICANN.

    We may use your registration data to contact you concerning a dispute related to your domain name, or for verification purposes to make sure no one else is accessing your domain.

    We do not sell your information.

    Because SimplyBuilt is not a domain registrar, it is not associated with publishing your registration data in the publicly accessible database "Whois".

    However, it may be useful to note that the term "Whois Privacy" is a term common in the domain industry to denote services that help you keep your personal information out of the Whois database. It is also important to know that SimplyBuilt cannot control the level of privacy associated with the use of this feature. Your personal information is still known to the registries and the people who work here and to anyone who may view your Whois information should you ever disable this function on your domain name(s).

    Like most websites, we use small bits of data called "€œcookies"€ stored on your computer(s) to simulate a continuous connection. Cookies let us "œremember" information about your preferences and passwords and allow you to continually use our services without reintroducing yourself. If you disable your cookies, you will not be allowed to use our services, as cookies are required to maintain your login to our service within a browser session. If you are logged in to SimplyBuilt.com, the cookies on your computer will uniquely identify your account within our system.

    This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by SimplyBuilt only and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers. Some of our business partners (advertisers) may use cookies on our site. We have no access to or control over these cookies.

    Automatic Log Files:
    Like most websites, we automatically gather certain information and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer websites, to track users' movements around websites and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We will never link this automatically collected data to personally identifiable information.

    Newsletters and Unsubscribing:
    When you signed up with SimplyBuilt, you may have given us permission to send you news and announcements about our services. If you change your mind, you can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time through the link we provide at the top and bottom of every mailer.

    Data Analytics:
    We collect and aggregate data concerning how people use the website at www.simplybuilt.com. None of the data collected is personally identifiable nor is it associated with your SimplyBuilt account or the domains you register with us. We purely use it to gather data that helps us understand how people use our website so that we can improve it. We may use a variety of third party services to help us collect and analyze this data, such as Google Analytics.

    From time to time, we may use other services in addition to these, either to evaluate their effectiveness for long-term use, or to gather information about a very specific question we have. If you ever have any questions about which third party services we are currently using, please don't hesitate to ask us.
