1. Edit Page Settings

    • Open the Pages Panel in the Tool Rack by clicking on the Pages icon.
    • Click the title of the page you want to edit.
    • Then click the gear icon next to the page name.
    • This will display the Page Settings Panel in which you can edit a page's name, title, description, URL, keywords and turn the page on or off.
    • Editing the "Page Name" will change the name of the page in your site's navigation and change the blue link that shows up in search engine results.
    • Be sure to click "Save" after you make your edits!
    • You can also create a custom URL for each page. In the "Pretty Page URL" box, type in your custom URL and then click "Save."
    • The Pretty Page URL will change the URL in the address bar and the green link in search engine results.
    • A "Page Title" is usually the same as a "Page Name", but search engines look at this attribute when indexing your site. The best practice is to replicate your "Page Name." The title will display in your browser's tab rather than in the site's navigation.
    • Enter relevant keywords so your site's pages are better indexed by search engines and visitors can more easily find info they are looking for.
    • Turning a page "On" or "Off" is useful when you want to update a page without turning off your whole site in the process.
    • When a page is "Off," you won't be able to publish changes as that would make them visible to the public, but the editor will save your changes automatically.
    • Be sure to click the "Save" button when you are finished making changes!
    • NOTE: Search engines may take up to a week for your changes to propagate across search engine results.
